Jayson Ramalho

Assistant Principal

Mr. Ramalho is in his sixth year as the Assistant Principal at the South Row Elementary School. Previously, Mr. Ramalho was a Physical Education Teacher at the Comprehensive Grammar School within the Methuen Public Schools, where he taught at the elementary and middle school levels for seven years. Mr. Ramalho’s educational interests include social-emotional learning (SEL), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), fostering a positive school culture, and developing and promoting a positive home-school connection with families. Mr. Ramalho serves on a variety of district and school-based teams. At the district level, Mr. Ramalho is part of the District Educator Evaluation Team, District MTSS Team (Multi-Tiered System and Supports), District Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, and District Wellness Committee.  At the school-based level, Mr. Ramalho co-chairs various internal building committees and actively participates in the PTO and School Council. As a proud South Row alum, you will find Mr. Ramalho at many school-wide events promoting, supporting, and celebrating the students and staff at South Row. Mr. Ramalho enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, eating ice cream, and spending time at the beach in the summer months. Additionally, Mr. Ramalho is currently a doctoral student at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he is pursuing a degree in Leadership in Schooling.
